Camp Nushka.

• Is 26 acres of forest on beautiful Cass Lake in the middle of the Chippewa National Forest.
  
• It is located 5.5 Miles east of Cass Lake and 4.2 miles north on the Scenic Highway SR10 . Go west on Cass Bluff Loop Road 1.2 Miles to the camp.
  
• The camp is located next to 300+ acres of forest land that can be used for pioneering, orienteering, GPS’ing, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and more. The lake can be used for canoeing, fishing, and water activities. The lake is part of the Mississippi chain and outpost forest service campsites can be reached both upstream and downstream.  Star Island has campsites and hiking trials across from the camp just 1.5 miles away.  Use the Council's Canoeing Rental Program in conjunction with this camp.
  
• The biking trails that cover most of central part of the state are located just a few miles away from camp.
  
• There are two sites with pavilions available for use.  The north site (Site B) can accommodate
  50+ Scouts and leaders, and the south site (Site A) can accommodate 25+ Scouts and leaders.  A unit can reserve one or both sites.
• Pit toilets are available on site. Water is not available on site. During the summer water is available at Knutson Dam campsite 1.4 Miles away.
• Service projects can be arraigned with prior notice.
• The camp will be operated year round for those who enjoy all season camping experiences.

Rental Fees

There is a $25.00 deposit required to reserve Camp Nushka which must be paid 30 days prior to the date of use. Failure to pay will forfeit use of Camp. Units must notify the Council Service Center 30 days in advance of any cancellations to have their deposit refunded.

A deposit of $25 will hold your reservation. Non-Scout groups must pay the entire fee with reservation. Council Service Center must be notified 30 days in advance of any cancellations. No refunds for no-shows. All reservations are subject to camp availability. Be sure to place your reservation early so alternate plans can be made if scheduling difficulties arise.

There is a 90-day wait between unit reservations for Camp Nushka.   Additional Information:

• Check out time is noon.
• Rental fees required to pick up keys.
• Deposit will be returned after keys are returned along with list of people using the camp and a Council inspection of camp. Leave your area cleaner than you found it!
• All fees subject to periodic change.
• Equipment lost or damaged will be the responsibility of the campers.
• Campers must abide by Camp Nushka rules and guidelines and provide their own accident insurance.
