2008 Camp Rental Fees
New camp rental fees have been set for 2008. The new fees were set in order to bring the rental fees in line with the cost of maintaining the camps. This is the first rate increase in several years. These rates reflect the growing cost of utilities and maintenance of the camp. These rate increases went into effect January 1, 2008. All rentals are for a two-night minimum stay. Units can receive a discount on the rental fee if the are a Gold Card Unit and/or a member of the Voyageurs Wilderness Corp.

Gold Card Unit
To qualify to become a Gold Card Unit, the unit must:
- Have a full “Friends of Scouting” presentation to the unit’s Scouting families during January, February or March.
- Average a $75 contribution per Scout to the campaign from its membership (based on the number of youth registered from the most recent re-charter.)
- Have the unit’s pledges paid in full by June 30.
- Participate in the previous Fall Popcorn Sale.
Voyageurs Wilderness Corps
The Voyageurs Wilderness Corps has been created to help with the maintenance for all of our Council camps. To become a member of the Corps, a unit must annually participate in one Camp Service Day with a minimum of six hours per person with a minimum of five youth and two adults participating.
Camp Service Days have not been set but below is a tentative schedule:
- Camp Newman – May and September
- Camp Horace Johnson – May and September
- Camp Barksdale – Spring
- Camp Nushka - Fall
